DUE MARCH 15, 2019

Back to The Bricks Scholarship | Up to $2500 | The Back to the Bricks® Scholarship Program provides assistance to high school seniors in Flint and Genesee County who are pursuing post-secondary study/training at a college or technical school in auto-body repair/painting,automotive design, auto mechanics, electrical/manufacturing/mechanical
engineering, robotics, sales and marketing, software development for automotive
applications, welding, or a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and
Math) related program.

Flint Kiwanis Educational Foundation Scholarship| Up to $1500/year for 4 years |This scholarship is for Genesee County seniors who have a minimum 3.5 GPA, minimum 1220 SAT score, and demonstrate financial need.

The David Barnes Scholarship | $2500 |  For 2019, The David Barns Scholarship will be awarding a scholarship to both a male and female high school senior that best represents David’s athletic prowess, academic excellence, and commitment to the community. The scholarship will provide $2,500 of financial assistance for college tuition. Additionally, the scholarship is eligible for renewal for three years, assuming good academic standing, continued community involvement, and a service commitment to the Foundation.


DUE MARCH 22, 2019

ELGA Credit Union Scholarship | $1000 | Students who are currently members of ELGA Credit Union are eligible to apply. The student must be a member in good standing on the date of the application and must also be a member on the last day of the academic year in which the award is to be given. All applicants must have a GPA of 2.50 or higher and plan to enter college in the next academic year.

GHP Health Career Scholarship | $1500 | Pursing a career in oral health? This scholarship is for you!


Due MARCH 26, 2019

Alice O’Neal Scholarship | Graduating seniors  from Genesee County high schools with a GPA of 2.5 or above can complete this application.

Harold “HAL” Scoville Scholarship| $500-$1000 | This scholarship is open to students attending GCI. The scholarship is for tuition and fees at a 2- or 4- year college/university OR a post-secondary training program.


Due March 29, 2019

Mott Trustees’ Leadership Scholarship | Full Tuition  | Attending Mott Community College in the fall? Have a GPA of 2.75 or higher? Apply for this scholarship!


Due March 31, 2019

Western Flint Business Association High School Community Service Scholarship | $1500 | Students with a GPA of at least 2.5 that have shown exceptional achievement and leadership skills can apply for this scholarship.

Sophia L. Waldbauer Scholarship Fund | THIS ONE IS GUARANTEED TO BE AWARDED TO A BENTLEY SENIOR! Students with a 2.66 or higher GPA and were a member of any school athletic team during any one year at Bentley can apply for this scholarship!

The Community Foundation of Greater Flint | Amounts Vary | The CFGF has MANY scholarships for Genesee County students! All applications can be submitted at www.cfgf.org. Check out which ones you may be eligible for:

  • Leslie G. Ames Fund | To be awarded to graduating seniors of any high school within Genesee County with at least a 3.0 GPA.
  • Genesee Career Institute Business and Leadership Scholarship Fund | 
    To be awarded to graduates of Marketing Department.  Candidates must satisfy criteria of a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial
    need, list school and community service activities, submit two letters of recommendation and an essay.
  • Katharine Roat Stevens Scholarship Fund | To be awarded to young women who are graduating seniors from Genesee County high schools.  Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5; an interest in becoming an entrepreneur; provided 40 hours of volunteer service in Genesee County with area nonprofits throughout high school; served in leadership roles in school or out of school settings throughout high school; and demonstrate financial need.
