During April, Bentley Middle School student Brooklyn Warnke single-handedly conducted a fundraiser for Autism awareness.
Inspired by her brother and knowing that “everyone likes candy”, Brooklyn approached Mrs. Brockmon, the principal, and asked if she could sell suckers to raise money for a local autism program.
With help from Mrs. Brockmon and support from her family and friends, Brooklyn sold suckers to her middle school mates. Each sucker was labeled with the message “Thank you for supporting Autism Awareness.”
Brooklyn was able to raise $120. The money was donated to Kersley’s Autism program.
