Senior Update: Countdown Schedule

Parents and Guardians – We are now in the fourth marking period at Bentley High School, and we want to remind you about some important dates and events that are fast approaching.

Seniors who are in danger of not passing required classes or not receiving the required credits will need to have all work completed by May 26, 2017​ in order to graduate. Please be sure to check Parent Vue with your student.

Please note that any behavior that is a major problem could result in not being able to walk with your class.


Here are some important dates for you and your student:

Friday, April 28th: Senior Picnic permission slips due to Mrs. McKay.

Friday, April 28th: Deadline to order cap and gowns.  Order online at or call 1-800-JOSTENS.

Friday, May 12th: Prom – Busses load at Bentley High School at 5:30 pm. Students must be in class until 11:00 am on Friday to attend prom.

Friday, May 19th: Distribution of caps and gowns. Students must be on track to graduate and  paid for cap and gown.

Wednesday, May 24th: Seniors’ Last Day – All work must be completed with passing grades in order to graduate/participate in senior activities.

Friday, May 26th, 3:00 pm: Deadline for online credit recovery students: All work must be completed with passing grades to graduate.

Friday, May 26th

  • 9:00 am: Senior Activity-Donuts in the Media Center
  • 9:30 am: MANDATORY Commencement Rehearsal 
  • 10:30 am: Senior Walk. Immediately following Senior Walk, students leave for Senior Picnic.

Tuesday, June 6th: Honors Night @ 7:00 PM – High School Gym. Students should wear their gowns.

Thursday, June 8th: Commencement  @ 7:00 pm – High School Gym

Graduates should arrive at 6:15 pm with cap and gown.

Note: Commencement rehearsal is mandatory ; ​students not participating in rehearsal will not be allowed to participate in commencement. Students who are employed should make arrangements with their employer so they can attend the Rehearsal.

The faculty and staff at Bentley Community Schools look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of the Class of 2017.
